Not so fat fat Daddy got suitcase out of the wardrobe and put some of his clothes in it. It seems he is going away for a weekend, without me or Mummy! He is going to Germany to play with cars on the Nurburgring.
This means I only have boring Mummy for company this weekend and she plans on going shopping with her friends. I hope you all have more exciting weekends then me.
I will miss my not so fat fat Daddy.
Hurry home to me.

Do you remember the field I walk through has been changing colour? Well you are never going to believe what has happened now. Someone has stolen the grass!!

I spent so long looking for it I nearly got left behind. Can you see me?

I don't know who took the grass, but I wasn't going to left there, just in case they took me too!

Hang on Mummy wait for me.

I will continue to investigate the vanishing grass and will keep you up dated.

Another weekend, another BBQ. This one was organized by the marina, who are obviously very big on health and safety and fenced off the BBQ's.

Look at all that food and wine....

... yum!

Not so fat fat Daddy, gave me a cuddle,

and cake.

There were even other dogs to get up close and personal with.

It was a pretty good evening.

Update. Baby Mikey is still in hospital, although he seems much better today. The Docters aren't sure what is wrong with him, so they keeping him in for the weekend just as a precaution.

Human puppies have so much to learn. Luckily Mikey has me to teach him new things.
I have been teaching him how to sing.

How to lick his nose, he is still working on that one.

He has learnt how to stick his tongue out.

Here we are looking cute for the camera.

The most important thing I have taught him, is that I love him.

Mikey is in hospital at the moment as he is a poorly boy. Get well soon Mikey.

Just for Boo, here is a photo of my poorly paw.
There was no shaving needed. As you can see one of my stitches has started to come undone, I have no idea how that happened, cough, cough. But the other one is still all tied up. Mummy isn't worried that the stitch has come undone as they were due to be taken out today, but the vet was too busy to fit me until Saturday.

Mummy is trying to get me to keep my feet dry. So far I have managed to jump into a puddle and the bath. Its a great game hehe.

Thank you all for asking about my paw. It is healing really well and I am walking on it without limping now. I am due to have the stitches out at the weekend.
I can assure you there was no drink driving Saturday night, as we spent the night on the boat. I made sure I got a nice comfy spot for the night.

The next morning we headed back to the marina. I kept an watch out for any ducks, but most of them seem to have flown away for the winter.

I am much braver now and happily walk along the little bits of wood with water underneath them.

I even help Not so fat fat Daddy tie the boat up. Well I supervise, without me the boat would float away.

I was just thinking about swimming to some of my DWB friends..

..then it was time to go home.

We braved the weather and went out in the boat to a BBQ. We left the marina at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon and headed for a place called Cookham Island. Here is Mummy driving the boat.

We arrived at Cookham island about two and a half hours later. No Regrets was moored up for the night.

While we went sausage hunting.

There was a big tent to eat in so we could escape the rain. It was a proms night, so there was much waving of flags and singing.

Well, if you can't beat them...

Then we headed back outside, where we had a big bonfire to keep us warm.

There was some other dogs there, this one was called Bart, he was old and grumpy.

Some dogs had a bit too much too drink.

But it was a great night.

Thank you all for your kind words and concern about my paw. I have been taking it easy this week and have been having two short walks instead of one long one. Mummy has been keeping me on the lead so I don't run, boring. I have a nice rawhide bone to chew on to take my mind of my stitches, which works some of the time. If Mummy catches me licking my paw the stupid e collar goes back on.
Its done nothing but rain here all week. So we'd thought we'd share some photos from a couple of weeks ago, when we were out on the boat.
Have a great weekend.

Sunday morning Mummy and Not so fat fat Daddy, decided to walk into the town for coffee. I wanted to go, but wasn't allowed to walk that far on my poorly paw. So Mummy got this out of the garage. I wasn't too impressed at first.

Until I discovered I was just at the right height for the table. Is that low fat muffin all for me?

Having a poorly foot really makes them give into those puppy dog eyes. I think in the end I had more of the muffin then they did. And they got wet in the rain. I love been King.

Mummy took me for my walk Saturday morning as usual, and I was having great fun running around in the river. When I came out of the river Mummy noticed I was limping. She checked my back paw and there must have been glass in the water, because there was blood pouring from my back pad.
Mummy picked me up and carried me to the car park, as she phoned my human brother to come and get us. We drove straight to the vet. The vet cleaned the cut, which really hurt! Then he said I needed stitches. He didn't want to inject my pad as it would swell up and he didn't want to give me a general anesthetic unless he had too. So he wanted to try and stitch my paw with Mummy holding and reasurring me.
Mummy held onto me and the nurse kept hold of my leg and the vet stitched. I cried and yelped and whined, it was about then Mummy fell apart, she was crying and sobbing all over me, she kept saying, its alright Simba, its alright. At one point she nearly had to walk out, because hearing me in pain was too much too bear. But a few minutes and two stitches later. the worse was over.
I had my leg bandaged up and two injections, the injections didn't bother me I was past caring by then. Mummy had reached the point of no return and couldn't stop crying. The nurse got my human brother to come and sit with her. The vet offered her a cup of hot sweet tea. She did ask if she could be sedated, not a bad idea.
The bandage was allowed to come off the next day. The stitches have to stay in for 12 days. Mummy and Fat fat Daddy have been taking the cone off when they can keep an eye on me. But left alone I can't help but lick the stitches.
When we got home Mummy tried to take my photo. I wasn't even talking to her!

In the last couple of weeks, I've had an upset tummy, nearly drown and now cut my paw. Mummy says she feels so guilty and feels she is a terrible dog owner. I think only hourly treats can make up for my pain and suffering.

Mummy has changed her car, now we have back seats. I like the back seats, I get to look out of the window.

And I have my car seat to take a nap in on the way home.

Thank you all for your concern about my lack of treats due to the dieting that is going on this house. Luckily I still have the twins to keep me in treats.
